seriousdelirium: This is my version of Excalibur. It’s an antique, cast iron, hand-cut wood rasp.  When I build a guitar neck, I use this to remove 90% of the wood that I take off.  It’s sharp as hell and unneccessarily huge, and I have to wear a leather glove like the one pictured when I use it or it turns my hands into something resembling hamburger meat.  Regardless, it’s my favorite tool in the world. You’re my favorite tool in the world, Declan.

Thanksgiving

We just finished our dinner.

My dad is passed out and snoring on the floor.

My sister is passed out on the couch.

My mom is passed out in her bedroom.

I’m sitting here, petting my dog with my foot.

This is a very familiar scene as I never fall asleep after Thanksgiving dinner.

Anyways, here are the things I am thankful for:

  • music made with and by friends
  • arnold palmer’s
  • dogtown’s home-fries
  • soft animals
  • an incredibly beautiful and patient girlfriend
  • clothes that fit
  • my afternoon coffee
  • being able to stare at deer right outside the window right now

Things are well.

I hope you are happy.

HALP!

So my Squid-Box is due on Dec. 2nd. The labs are not open between now and then. The 140mb Illustrator file simply will not open on my weak-ass Macbook.

Anyone have a semi-hefty computer with Illustrator that I could use for an hour or two?
